Air Duct Cleaning

Why Air Duct Cleaning Is Important

  • Improve Indoor Air Quality: Clean air ducts reduce airborne pollutants, benefiting allergy and asthma sufferers.

  • Enhance HVAC Efficiency: Removing debris from ducts allows your HVAC system to run more efficiently, reducing energy costs.

  • Eliminate Odours: Dust, hair, and debris in ducts can cause musty or unpleasant smells. Cleaning removes these sources of smell.

  • Reduce Dust in Your Home: Clean ducts mean less dust settling on your furniture and floors.

Our Air Duct Cleaning Process

At Jesse’s, we follow a comprehensive process using advanced tools and proven techniques to ensure your air ducts are thoroughly cleaned:

  • Preparation and Setup: We begin by shutting down your furnace and employing protective measures, including corner guards and shoe covers, to keep your home safe and clean.

  • Initial System Sealing: The old furnace filter is removed and replaced with a stopper, and zone bags or mats are used to prevent dust from being blown back into the furnace.

  • Access Point Creation: 8-inch access holes are cut into the main supply air trunk line and the cold air return near the furnace.

  • Negative Pressure Setup: Our 5000 CFM portable negative air machine is connected to the supply air trunk line, creating strong negative pressure to pull dust and debris from the system. All registers and cold air returns are sealed to maintain optimal pressure.

  • Debris Removal with Advanced Tools: Using our 175 PSI truck-mounted air compressor and the Cobra View duct cleaning camera, we visually inspect the ducts while pushing dust and debris from each register toward the negative air machine.

  • Main Trunkline Cleaning: Additional 1-inch access holes are cut into the trunk lines to insert air whips and the camera, ensuring every trace of debris is dislodged and extracted into the negative air machine’s collection bag. The process is repeated for the cold air return.

  • Optional Deodorizing and Disinfecting: If requested, we use a ULV fogger with Benefect Decon 30, a natural deodorizer and disinfectant, to eliminate odour-causing bacteria and improve air quality.

  • Sealing and System Restoration: All access holes are sealed with top-grade patches, plugs, foil tape, and screws. A new furnace filter is installed, and the HVAC system is restarted.

  • Final Cleanup: We finish by ensuring all work areas are clean, leaving your home spotless.
